In the first few design meetings for this show, we talked about taking a nontraditional approach to all aspects of design, however, as we talked more about it, we felt like something more familiar would present as more approachable. Most of my designs throughout the process took a more traditional approach, but a few were a bit more experimental. My director still wanted to keep all the original designs I had so I went ahead and constructed all the costumes. On our second to last night of tech rehearsals, my director expressed that the jumpsuit ball gown for Cinderella wasn't fitting well with the overall theme of the show, so I went back to the drawing board that night. By the next night, which was our final tech rehearsal, I had a full length, gold and white ball gown that is one of the pieces I am most proud of.
